Think I have a hernia

In my groin. Stepped up my workouts more the past three weeks and yesterday when getting down with my girl noticed a pain. Today I felt around and there's a little lump between my groin and hip (higher than my d*ck) that hurts to the touch. I don't notice it when I'm working out or moving around.

Is it what I think it is?
Could it be anything else?
Am I gonna need surgery? Phone Post

No one? My groin needs you. Phone Post

Inguinal Hernia.

I've had two before the age of 21 from lifting too heavy without proper equipment such as a belt and what not.

You will have two options to choose from. I've received both. The laproscopic (however you spell it) is painless, but has a little higher risk of reoccurrence. Recovery is about two days. It's an outpatient procedure where they stick a mesh to prevent intestines and what not going into your messed up Inguinal canal.

The other option, most effective, but can be painful is the old open up and stitch (melted stitches) they also put a mesh to prevent the same thing from happening. The reoccurrence rate for this one is extremely low. But this one will hurt like a bitch. Took about a month or so to fully recover compared to other procedure.

Good luck. If you have more questions PM me or ask here. Phone Post 3.0

Btw get it done ASAP because it will only get worse. And other complications could occur. Phone Post 3.0

Sorry there are more than two options, but these are the most common procedures from my understanding. Not too familiar with the others. Phone Post 3.0

Thanks for the info. Was it really two days recovery like back in the gym in two days? Which procedure did you prefer? I'm thinking I should get it checked out soon since I heard of something called strangulation. Phone Post

You won't be able to go to the gym for about two to three months. You can always do very light weights though and cardiovascular.

Strangulation can occur by blocking blood flow, it's very rare, but like I said get it checked ASAP. And you won't be weightlifting anytime soon or else the intestines will break the mesh inserted. You're not even recommended to lift over ten to fifteen pounds I believe. Phone Post 3.0

Laproscopic or however you spell it just because recovery was faster and rather painless. Phone Post 3.0

Fuuuuuuuuuck. I just worked myself into my best shape in a while and been dedicating myself. No bball and no gym would suck. I guess I'll try to get checked out today Phone Post

I had one. My guts essentially fell into my sack. Fuckin gross right?

Recovery did suck, my doc also said it was one of the bigger hernias he's seen. I was cruising around after 2-3 days. I wasn't particularly active back then so who knows how long it was for me to get back to normal. Phone Post 3.0

Luckily it's not in my sack but it still feels weird thinking a part of my intestine may be sticking out Phone Post
