This house is on Beaver Island

Your body and soul will feel set free at this lovely lakeside home on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan on the south side of Beaver Island. This lighthouse inspired waterfront home offers spectacular south and west views of the lake with the Fox Islands and mainland in the distance. Many great features such as the master bedroom has its own fireplace for those chilly evenings, a deck off the back looking at the woods, attached garage with storage room, and a fourth floor office / sitting room. Enjoy the cool water and sunshine on hot days, and marvel at some of the darkest skies northern Michigan has to offer for stargazing at night. Walk the pristine sandy beach in summer, enjoy the changing fall foliage, and snowmobile the wooded trails across the island during the winter months. Comes furnished. Must see to fully appreciate.

Not bad even if it is underwater in 30 years.

I would be willing to take that chance

It's cute

How do you access it? No driveway or garage, no dock. What's the dirt road in front? Not even a walkway down to the beach.

I like the house (too many stairs for pending old age though), but the cement blocks in back look like shit. A useless and unimproved yardscape as well.

ive been there, it’s beautiful

Disappointing. I was expecting different kind of beaver island

It’s not nearly as hideous as most the houses you post.

Awesome. I’m thinking of buying my mom a house in Michigan in the next few years.

I wish Epstein named his island Beaver Island.

That’s a cool place, are there just houses on the island? No roads or cars or stores?

Been there.  Went out of Charlevoix on the ferry.   As soon as we cleared the breakwater into Lake Michigan a massive storm hit that was as bad as anything I had seen in FL.  Zero visibilty, heavy winds.  Fortunately we cleared it before we got to the island.

Living there would be interesting.  I guess it would either be a vacation place or you'd have to have some kind of job where you could work 100% remotely.  The ferry takes a couple hours one way, and it moves pretty fast.  It's 32 miles of open water to cross.

yeah it is pretty far from the mainland.
