Tua wasn’t really fat, he’s naturally thick-framed.

I saw him in a dairy in Bucklands Beach four months before this fight and he looked like a fucking PLANET. It took me a few moments to mentally confirm that it was actually him under all the blubber.

I did my best Micheal Buffer ‘David TUAAAAAAAA!’ and he laughed. He’d been visiting the Mad Butcher on the esplanade and told me he had a fight with Shane Cameron lined up, to which I nodded sagely (I thought he might be joking).

He dropped a huge amount of weight to get in shape for the fight.
