And also have some 10-7's. Otherwise call a spade a spade and just have it scored out of 2, not 10.
A round where you barely beat an opponent should not be equivalent to a round where you just got dominated.
Imo the fight should be judged as a whole with the judges in a secluded room with a tv with no sound
It's really the issue of scoring rounds separately that's the problem. Scored as a whole like you would judge a real fight and Anderson was the winner.
MAINMAYNARD - Imo the fight should be judged as a whole with the judges in a secluded room with a tv with no soundPride-esque rules. That would even be a harder sell. It still would be better than the clusterfuck of a system we have now.

GROUNDnLB -10 minute first rounds would help as well because it would give the fighters more time to work while they're both freshMAINMAYNARD - Imo the fight should be judged as a whole with the judges in a secluded room with a tv with no soundPride-esque rules. pushZIGGLER - I didn't have 1 round 10-8, Anderson. That's because you're judging by current standards. If 10-8 rounds became more prevalent, you might have a different opinion.
I think they need to be used way more.

Where's the 10-8 round? Round 4? Can't count that as 10-8 b/c the round ended before any more damage could be given.
Round 2 10 8 bisping.big time
Silva sucks get.over it
Bisping has zero power and he looked.like rumble.johnson in there
pushZIGGLER - I didn't have 1 round 10-8, Anderson.
Ditto
Also 9-9 (rd 1). And 10-10
10-1 rounds. Why not use them all if need be. Anderson fights with the worst game plan if that's what you would call it.
Anderson did not dominate for any length of time whatsoever in that fight. He got one knockdown only which was under controversial circumstances.
I felt Bisping won 3 rounds to 2. I certainly would not cry foul with a draw, scoring round three 10-8 for Silva. Silva was slightly winning the round and then caught Bisping and had him damn near out. The fight lasts 5 more seconds and it would have been over.

I can only imagine how you would have scored Round 1 of the Sean McCorkle-Johnathan Ivey fight.

da Vinci 81 - Anderson did not dominate for any length of time whatsoever in that fight. He got one knockdown only which was under controversial circumstances.Silva did nothing for the majority of that fight. It was an embarrassing performance.

I think most people are missing the fact that this fight would have been different if both fighters knew before the fight that it was being judged in the entirety and not round by round. You can argue a fighter is "point fighting", but guess what that is how they are being judged. Bisping for sure would have fought differently if the rules were different. Now he might have lost in that situation, but it is disingenuous to state that new rules should be used because a different fighter would have won a fight fought under current rules.
