Thompson vs. Melendez: Did You Watch?

Because everyone bitching about Gil 'winning' didn't give two shits when he got a BS nod in that fight. Phone Post 3.0

Fair point. That was a really close fight as well

Sbould give thomson the next title shot. Phone Post

So if the judges were incompetent when Gil won, why would we be inclined to ignore poor judging when he loses? I really don't understand how someone would be that nearsighted.

Why is it somehow Gil's fault mma has a shit ton of incompetent judges? Personally I think that's a horrible thesis. Phone Post

There people who raised this point. Both fights were extremely close however

Thomson is probably one fight away from a title shot. Probably winner of Miller/Healy. Phone Post

No, I'm pointing out the double standard that Fans have. No one said shit when he got the nod originally and shouldn't have, so people shouldn't complain when he lost a close decision. Great thesis. Thank you. Phone Post 3.0

Both fights were very close and just because the judges possibly got it wrong in the past doesn't mean it's ok to get it wrong again and again.

By that logic any bad decision (if this even is one) is excusable because we've all seen bad decisions before. Phone Post 3.0

What you guys are failing to note, is that this thread is NOT about shitty judging ever being acceptable. It's not ever acceptable. What it IS about is fanboys who turn a blind eye when a fighter they like gets the nod in a controversial decision, but get up in arms when they lose a controversial decision.

If you posted about the close calls in both circumstances, I applaud you. If you posted only now that Gil lost, I boo you. Phone Post 3.0
