He's looked very impressive his last 2 fights. Paulie is a pillow puncher, but a slick boxer with a tough chin. He walked through him with ease. Also made Devon Alexander look bad. Rumor had it Pacman didn't want him as a sparring partner this time around cause he hits too hard. I think he is a rising star, he'll never get his chance at Mayweather or Pacman, but I think he's gonna be better than Canelo, Garcia, and the others they are touting that are around his weight class.
I think if he goes at Kell Brook the way he went at Paulie it will just be a matter of time before he's drooling into the canvas. No way he pushes Brook back like that, Kell will get his respect right off the bat.
Devon Alexander and Paulie are both 140 lb'ers that can't crack an egg. Kell Brook is full sized welter and if little Porter starts swinging like a rusty gate, Kell will be firing back with hard, fast, accurate shots.
Maybe. I haven't seen much of Kell except for the two Carson Jones fights. Carson hit him in the first fight and he wanted no part of him after that. Lucky to get a decision. 2nd fight was a different story.
Porter is strong and brings a lot of physicality to go along with decent boxing skills.
I think he'll handle Kell Brook then move on to a huge fight against Keith Thurman. Whoever wins that one becomes the top young gun at 147 and shoots to the top of the list for a Mayweather bout.
Porter is good. I think his height is going to be a problem for him. As he faces better fighters he will be giving up height and reach. He didn't have to fear anything at all coming inside on Paulie. Everyone knows Paulie has no power at all. And Alexanxer only has pop in his hook, and even that doesn't strike fear in anyone. I'm not sure exactly how good Kel Brook is, but his isn't a joke. And should Porter get past him, has Keith Thurman looking ready for a shot at a belt after maybe one more fight. There is also Robert Guerrero and Amir Khan waiting. Porter isn't a midget by any means, and yes he is roughly the same height as Floyd, but he ain't Floyd. We see what he is real soon. If he gets by Brooks I'd love to see him against Guerrero. That would be a good fight to gauge exactly what level of fighter Porter is.
i would like to see more of brook. time for him to comeover and challenge one of these guys porter or thurman and lets get a clearer picture on the future of the division
