Despite the impressive showing of the new light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, UFC 128 was lackluster at best. There was nothing impressive, no one really went after it. Every fight was better than an ambien. And don't get me wrong Schaub KO'ing Cro Cop brought me to my feet, but you had to sift through a lot to get to those moments. I hate to say it.
I only caught the last half of the card. I thought the fights that I did see were pretty entertaining though.
I was there and I guess all the prelims put me in a "what the fuck" mood. It's starting to make me question the UFC buying strikeforce. There needs to be a promotion that encourages fighters to go for it. The way the UFC is run. puts too much pressure on the fighters to win, not to finish.
Jim Miller fight was also good. So was the Faber/Wineland fight. Decent, not fantastic, card. I enjoyed and was entertained. 
I was pretty much in a funk after the cro cop KO and watched the main event.
what needs to happen? Format change? etc?
^^not sure if anything can increase the overall excitement in ufc...it was a real good card last night but i found myself getting rather bored during the Schaub/crocop and faber fights...during the Marquadt fight as well..its just that there are so many well rounded fighters who have no strengths or weaknesses and you put the against each other and what happens??its a stalemate...thats what i seeas the biggest problem if you can call it that..
