How do I strengthen this? I believe I sprained it while doing BJJ. It's random stuff like rolling or shooting the double that can cause it to hurt.
I usually lay off of it for a week and by the time the next class comes around it feels fine with no pain but it is really easy for the pain to return while rolling or like I said doing whatevers in class that may stress the tendon.
Any ideas on how to strengthen this tendon?
IMHO:
- Pain could come from any reason. What kind of shoes do you wear? Do you have a previous injury? Do you sit for long periods at work?
- There are postural considerations as well.
Overall, I'd consider looking at the source of the problem first. Now, the pain may come back DURING the class, but there may be extraneous problems that may be adding to it, if not outright causing it.
