(2:02 mark)

Clearly rocked by opponent Abe Wager this past Friday at Titan FC 16, “The Maine-iac” fell forward and then watched his four-fight win streak broken as referee Jason Herzog half-heartedly jumped in then waived for the bell.

“Refs need to know the fighters. Did he see my fight with Andrei Arlovski – the second one – I got dropped, got up, and KO’d him. The Randy Couture fight I got dropped and fought for twenty five minutes."

“It was stopped way too early…It was bullsh*t. The sad part is the ref told the promoter and my corner he was sorry because he knew he made a mistake and stopped it a little early.”

“I still love this sport and always will. I went into the fight with a bum knee and it got worse somehow during the fight so I go in for a MRI sometime this week and might need surgery. We will see."

“I will never fight at Super Heavyweight again. I fight much better at 265 so from here on out that’s what I am going to fight at.” (Sylvia weighed in at 311 for the fight)

dude it was stopped early but you shouldn't let yourself get dropped like that plus you came in so fat it was kinda embarrassing and looked like you didn't take it seriously

You'd think being KO'ed by Mercer would make him not fight at SHW.

JonesChris1990 - plus you came in so fat it was kinda embarrassing

lol

Tim Sylvia showing up over 3 bills and getting Mercered again was bulls---.

LMAO at his talk about getting back to the UFC, get in shape.

When you fall flat on your face and are wobbly when finally back to your feet, it was a good stoppage.

I am one of the few guys on here that likes Tim, but he needs to just let this go. He did not show up in top shape and he got dropped. He needs to just accept it and move on to the next fight. He may need to get with a top camp that will give him the push he needs.

This.  Could you imagine him showing up with Horn, Miletich, and Hughes at 311?  No way that would fly.

Monsters Ball - Some people were actually trying to say that Tim was going for a takedown, lol. Since when do takedowns encompass face planting on the canvas first?

He's been training Catch. See Sakuraba vs. Silviera 1

"they stopped the fight on a cut"

Nothing like saku/silviera.

Sylvia was finished, knocked down in a face plant, got back up thanks to the ref but could barely stand and was super wobbly. Good stoppage, did we really need to see him take 3-4 more shots from a 260lb fighter ? He was done. Sylvia's gotta let it go and get back in the gym asap. Phone Post

maybe if he didnt come into the fight the size of a blimp the ref would have taken you serious

Love the Tiki reference !! Haha Phone Post

Well done to the ref for admitting he made a mistake, that takes some balls, he could have lied and stood by his decision.

It's kind of sad to see him like this...is he depressed or something? I mean, he went from the UFC heavyweight champion (albeit, pretty much a one dimensional one) to losing to no names in smaller shows...all while weighing 50 lbs more than what he used to. I kinda feel bad for him.

.early.imo.

ref should have let tim get his ass kicked a little longer before losing, so there's no debate.

indecisive ref made it look bad but he backed wagner off so he had to stop it. if wagner wasn't backed off, he would have unloaded on tim.

the fight was over.

where does Sylvia train at now?

It was a bit early but he would have lost anyway.

it was early in the sense that Tim was still conscious. No way he was 100%, and it was about to get a lot worse. I know he could have kept going, but he was def in zombie mode. Tims thinks he would have gotten up and KO'd Abe, but i just dont know about that
