                    <p>Ordinarily when a fighter misses weight for a title fight, the fight goes on, but is no longer for the title. On Friday, in a simple-as-wheels-on-luggage move, Titan FC founder Jeff Aronson made sure the fighter who did make weight is not penalized, and still gets a shot at the belt.</p>

When Titan FC lightweight champion weighed in at 158, a full three pounds over the limit (title bouts do not get the usual 1 pound allowance) Aronson stripped him of the belt. The fight goes on, and if Healy wins, he is the new champion. If Healy wins, he has lost the belt, due to missing weight, and another fight will have to be made for the vacated title.

Aronson should be applauded for the move. And for the record, we love his shirt.

Two other fighters missed weight. E.J. Brooks was fined an undisclosed amount when he weighed in at 161 for a lightweight fight.  Zane Kamaka weighed in at 175.5 for a welterweight fight; his penalty was not disclosed.

I hate seeing elliot on these small shows he's way better than 200 people shows. In the ufc he was getting bad matchups and losing boring decisions. I hope he's rounding out his form and we see him back soon. Phone Post 3.0

his fight with joe b was awesome. he brought the heat and made joe have to deal with some real chaos...that and losing to Ali are nothing folks should be cut for.

some guys like Tim a 125er in a shallow division who really brings it get cut from making 12/12...when there are guys like overeem who have gone through stints of being finished in 3/4 fights in a row after being busted for PEDs who they still shovel money at.
