In all honesty, 10 years ago Tito would have beat that ass whether you haters like it or not. He would scooped Jones up, spiked him on his head and did the gravedigger routine.
Of course Jones was probably 14 years old at the time, but still.

Non N00B - There is nothing in his fight career that shows he would have been able to hang with Jones. I used to be a huge Tito fan when I first got into MMA over 10 years ago.....but damn man, the stuff he has said over the years....
He lost to Frank Shamrock in the early days, and that changed him a bit, as far as conditioning goes.
He lost to Couture in an uneventful fight
Got killed by Liddell TWICE
Had issues with an out of shape 185er Cote
Had a boring fight with Vitor (that was a fight people had been waiting YEARS for too) where he barely won a decision
Barely edged out TUFNOOB Forrest in their first fight, lost the second and third ones
He did manage to basically beat an early Rashad (and also lost to him later via body shots of doom)
Got demolished by Hammill, Machida, and Lil Nog (towards the end of his career).
And muxh of his early success was against opponents naturally smaller than him: Bohlander, Kondo, Tanner, etc.
Tito was pretty damn good back then. Who knows. 
The Machida/Tito fight was one sided other than a half hearted attempt at a triangle choke he didnt pull off. It was more of a demolishing than Tito's scrape by wins against Forrest and Vitor.

I understand that, and with him having been on top at one time, it's probably even harder for him, but seriously, there are other fighters, especially ones that have moved on that have no issue praising others, and admitting where they stand.

you know what Machida nuthuggers are likeLol yeah but thats borderline delusional.
Tito done ok in that fight. Was close to a finish at one point. Didn't do much standing but it wasn't like he was utterly embarrassed like Rashad or Thiago Silva were by Lyoto.
Tito got out-grappled, out-struck, and I believe was dropped twice?(perhaps just once). Machida barely got hit and was only slightly in danger from a last-ditch triangle attempt. If thats not domination, what is?
