Tito Ortiz turned down offer to replace Davis..

Didn't see this posted yet, but i just read via Mike Chiapettas twitter that Tito Ortiz turned down offer to replace Phil Davis...

Surprised?

that and Machida hasn't agreed to fight Evans yet.

Of course he did, smart move by Tito here.

Jack Skellington -  Of course he did, smart move by Tito here.

from Titos twitter:

"I have a life and things to take care of. The fight game is about making the right choices of my career. If you knew what i have been going through you all would understand. Peaking for a fight is what makes a fighter unstopable! Timing is everything in life. This is a rebuild year for me not do or die. The time will come again! #positive"

i DO see how it's a smart decision, but given titos track record with dana white + that fact that his last fight ended quickly, how smart was it really?

Good move

It was 1 of the best decisions he has made as of late. He needs to string some wins together to show his last win wasn't a fluke and taking a fight like this on short notice isn't in his best interests.

Whatever is what I say to all of you calling it a good move if he is ever going to be champion again this was the moment to prove it! He took very little if any damage in the Bader fight and I think he matches up very well with rashad. 5 weeks is plenty of time to detox and get amped up for the fight Phone Post

Dont be scared tito. There is always a fence to grab.

Dicktuck at it's finest

i think its a smart decision!

whenever the kos vs alves fight is brought up, i dont think of a Alves win. i think of Kos taking it on 2 weeks notice. if Tito cant be ready in time, then i'm not interested in seeing it. especially with tito. i can imagine the hundreds of excuses that he would come up with! the ufc is big enough to find someone can be 100%.

and im all for the tito hate! anyone that refers to themselves in the third person deserves all the hate they get!!!!

Don't hold your breath

fucking double motherfuck the quote function on this site

HUGE missed opportunity for Tito.FUCKING HUGE. "If" he truely passed on this golden gate hole to top contender, then, well then fuck him. Yeah, you had me, teah just for a moment. If your not willing to take the Leben esk risk but rather the cozy non champ money road. Thats all fine. Do it that way but shut up with your talk. COME ON TITO PUT UP OR SHUT UP.

Makes sense to me. You dont want to go into a fight with Rashad overtrained. It might work for some fighters, but Tito knows what is best for his own body at this point.

I'm not a Tito fan but it wouldn't be smart to take a top fight with no notice. He needs wins now to stay in the game.

I assume Tito knows if he is not ready. On the other hand it was an opportunity to catch Rashad on HUGE layoff with a good chance of major ring rust.

Are you guys kidding me or are you drinking sum tito kool aid? If Tito truely wanted to takE the road to be lhw champ again then this would be the golden once in a lifetime reopportunity (yeah thats a drunkin word).

"IF" it is true that Tito passed on this Hyper drive to top contender then it blatenly obvious he has no desire to be champ again. Just wants to make a few more big money fight for himself ans family. And there is nothing wrong with that.
