I'm surprised there hasn't been a lot of talk about this fight unless I just missed it. That was a sick fight that really showed the heart of both fighters. It was a close fight but win, lose, or draw I feel that Dunham impressed me the most with his ability to land the combos he did once he got that nasty cut. It was almost like those knees woke him up.
I thought it was pretty badass.
FotN for sure.
I also had Dunham winning 2/3 rounds but they were superclose. Dunham landed more clean shots to me, but DJ landed the harder ones here and there. Sadly the blood may have influenced it wrongfully.
That was a great fight. Nonstop action.
I thought Dunham out worked him after the first round. He did keep leaning into those knees plus I agree the blood might've been enough to sway the judges.
I thought Dunham won as well but as per usual the judges were swayed by power over volume and technique. Oh well.
That was a great fight, both guys didn't go out there just to win, they went out to fight and finish, and holy shit, did they fight.
Both fighters impressed the hell out of me, Dunham always does, but I was really surprised he found takedowns. Grant has looked amazing at lightweight but I alway thought of him as a sub par striker, I was wrong.

Wasn't this grants first fight at LW

I think he fought Shane roller at 155 awhile back.
Dunham probably could have gotten the submission if he was more persistent for takedowns. Got the ones he went for effortlessly imo. Sick fight.

Also Carlo Prater, he looked great in both fights.
Really good fight, Grant is a nice fighter at 155
Hated to see either fighter lose as both are favorites
Had TJ winning but wouldn't have been surprised to see Evan win
Evan is so damn game that I think he gets caught up slugging it out when he could employ other aspects of his game and win. Not saying that it would have made a difference against Grant, in fact, I think he was surprised by Grant's standup.
I thought Dunham won, but it's hard to complain about a 29-28 score either way (30-27 was a bit ridiculous, IMO). Both guys are amazing and TJ has been wrecking it at 155. I was hoping to see Grant work his top game a bit and still want to see him fight Bocek, though he'll probably get a higher profile fight now.
I had Dunham winning, but it was a close fight.
Grant clearly won the 1st 2 rounds. The 8-10 impactful striking barrages were enjoyed by him during that period. They were pretty evenly distributed between those rounds two. Dunham was landing volume and tried to steal rounds on late TD's he did little with. Ben Askren doesn't even think fighters deserve credit for doing that and he's king wrestler. Dunham took the 3rd by being the fresher fighter thus Grant was less kinetic for both offensive and defensive purposes.

That's not really true.
Dunham didn't get TD attempts effortlessly. He was 3-8, Grant got up quickly from one, the other 2 were late in rounds.
As far as Dunham getting the sub, that was happ'n cap'n. Grant is very BJJ savvy. He's only gotten subbed once, a few years ago. And since has been in the cage with a number of strong BJJ players.
I agree grants bjj is top notch

I only remembered him going for the couple at the end of rounds 1 and 2, looks like I am mistaken. My thinking he could get the submission was just cause I have a high opinion of Dunham's ground game.
