Auberge Universel Hotel, Montreal, Quebec

With a rescheduled date and a revamped fight card, the TKO organization began their TKO 21: Collision event with the official weigh-ins today in Montreal. After running into numerous problems with the originally scheduled lineup of fights, TKO decided to postpone their subsequent MMA offering until a show of similar proportions to the originally intended one was feasible.

What they have put together for this latest event, is a solid lineup of Canadian up-and-comers, established TKO veterans, and well-known MMA figures making their debut in the TKO ring, promising to make this another exciting and memorable TKO event.

The weigh-in results are as follows:

TKO LW Championship:
Sam Stout 154.2
Donald Ouimet 153.4

TKO WW International Superfight:
Kyle Jensen 169.6
Jonathan Goulet 169.6

TKO MW International Superfight:
Shonie Carter 183.4
Jason MacDonald 184.6

James Haourt 144.8
Thierry Quenneville 144.6

Fabio Holanda 159
Blake Fredrickson 154.4

Greg Compton 146.6
Dave Parizeau 144.6

Martin Desilets 222.2
Serge Laford 218.2

Sylvain Cloutier 144.8
Regean Otis 143

Chester Post 192
Yan Pellerin 204.6

Two new rules have been added to TKO regulations. The first states that at no point during the fight can a combatant use the for any purpose including holding or standing on the ropes. This comes the week after Freedom Fight in Hull, Quebec, where one fighter stood on the bottom rope to gain a height advantage used to secure a choke. The amendment to the existing rule states that if a combatant intentionally spits out his mouth piece while in a bad position during the fight, the mouthpiece will be washed and the fight re-started in the same position.

TKO 21: Collision takes place tomorrow, July 15, 2005, at the Metropolis in Montreal, Quebec. Ticket information can be found at
