Well

What they dont show is the grappler blowing out his knee caps on the shoot on the concrete and not the nice mat he is used to.

Also the groin is open in the last picture, no rules on the street.

Stick your finger in his eye, pull his ear off, bend his open plam finger back until it snaps or "steal the peaches".

Dont get me wrong MMA has some very skilled practitioners but fighting with RULES of any kind is NOT a street fight.

Just my 2 cents.

lol@steal the peaches

What's inaccurate about his response?

true IMO...

"What's inaccurate about his response?"

Nothing IMO

This is true, however TMA guys do not train this way either. How many peaches you got on your wall? How about ears?

I heard a guy got into it at a grocery store, someone attacked him. He bit the guys nose off, who do you think went to jail?

Its all good to talk about it but if you grabbed my fingers I'd punch you with my free hand.

Just my 2 cents

He's right the MMA guy should have shot with his knees off the ground (like most do) then when he took the guy down he should have immediately eye gouged the Karate dude then pounded his balls flat, then, I guess, pull his ears off since this Karate guy seems to think this is what you do in a fight. For some reason Karate guys think that guys with skill can't eye gouge or hit the groin, and the worst a knee down shot would do is put a hole in the wrestler's jeans and maybe skin his knee.

Who's living in a fantasy world?

Robin.

<Dont get me wrong MMA has some very skilled practitioners but fighting with RULES of any kind is NOT a street fight.>

Exactly - that's why I miss the old NHB rules - anything goes but biting and eye gouging.

Why would a grappler need to hit his knees on the ground when he is taking someone down?

Extreme mma guys are ridiculous and extreme tma guys are ridiculous. MMA works in the street and so does TMA.. ALL about the individual. However, MMA imo, pretty obviously is more practical because it is more well rounded.. there is no way to 100% effectively spar while grasping peoples "peaches" and eye gouging a shooting wrestler.

Some more....

Hello Everybody

I've just been on the website this came from. It says MMAPortal.com "where anything goes",

Which it seems must also include getting hit an the back of the head with a beer bottle by the Karate guys friends you didn't see because in a street fight you were stupid enough to take him to the floor on purpose.

I really don't think they have thought that through,

Train for fun

I'm a fifth Dan in the acient Tiawanese art of spitting and hair pulling, I can also drag a small family car with my penis. So don't mock TMA or I'll Dim Mak you over the internet.

"Which it seems must also include getting hit an the back of the head with a beer bottle by the Karate guys friends you didn't see because in a street fight you were stupid enough to take him to the floor on purpose."

Ah yes, the tradition, humility and respect of the classical martial arts rears it's head once again.

hi

just show them the john marsh vs kung fu guy video.

I've been bitten & eye gouged in a fight. It was not enough for me to give up mount & so I continued to pound him. I doubt that if my ear was bitten off I would stop fighting.

What they say is true some extent...I mean you try and armlock a guy in a fight he bites the fuck out of your leg...You try a rear naked and he can reach back and gouge out your eye balls with his fingers..etc..

What they dont realize (or atleast why the argument is flawed) is that we are just as capable of the same street tactics, plus we have the ability to dominate posistion and dominate application due to the reality of training it in a live enviroment...But, dont fool yourself into thinking your mma is the end all be all, cause it isnt..It isnt for self defense, it is for sport..like BJJ, the way it is taught today and the self defense are completely different..How many of you train the self defense side? Not many..

I dont really know who is more ignorant..On one hand you have these guys who believe they know what a real fight is all about and on the other you have alot of mma guys with the exact same false impression..

I loved this one though

"I can handle myself quite well on the ground. However here on the Indian Reservation take some one to the ground and you better grow eyes in the back of your head. Any number of bystanders, brothers, cousins, sisters, and even mothers have no problem shooting the boots to you while your on top. And if any weapon is available, will swing for the fences. Better to hit them hard, not often, stay on your feet and get the hell out of there."

Let that be a lesson to all of u... dont start a fight on an indian reservation

Haha Katsudo Karate, gouge eyes, stealing peaches,do you hear how fruity you sound?!?!?!?!

Why would anyone train with you to learn moves everyone already knows???

Alll those years of practice and all you can talk about is pulling off someone's ears. WOw that's awesome.

I knew all your moves by grade 4.

so

" BOW TO YOUR SENSEI!!"

LMAO @ stealing peaches..Thats just funny

Why do they assume that bjj guys don't have friends with beer bottles and knives???
