TME About Asbestos

So last year my wife and I bought a house that was built in 1952, and a lot of updates need to be done. One thing we ran across when inspecting was that the living room interior walls actually contain asbestos.

It happened this way because our living room actually used to be a garage, so the inside of the room has siding and looks like the outside of a house. For no other reason other than the potential danger of asbestos and the fact that it looks really terrible in the living room, we want to get it removed and redo the walls in the room.

Does anyone work in the field (abatement) or had work done recently, or know roughly how much this might cost? Thanks in advance, OG. Phone Post 3.0
