TME about BJJ in Maine, tournaments/training

SO, I may be relocating to Maine for my job, sometime in the next year. BJJ has been a huge part of my life as I am a brown belt and have been training for about a decade. How is the BJJ scene in Maine? Mainly Portland but I will be going around to explore the state as I have much free time.

How often are there competitions? I'm no world beater but I love to compete and I do compete often. How does the competition scene look like for a 140lbs brown belt like myself? Currently I can expect to have basically a mini open weight tournament every time i copmpete here as there aren't enough brown belts to make a 150 and under division.

Hey. Hopefully you see this.

Portland has 4 schools. The Academy under Jay Jack (Amal Easton BB), New England United under Alexey Cruz, Chois MMA, and Team Irish. For BJJ, you can't go wrong with Jay Jack. He has an extensive self defense BJJ school and a wealth of knowledge. If you're more into sport bjj than Alexey would be better, but I still recommend The Academy. Chois and Team Irish are better for MMA, not sure about instructors there.
