to prove the point

if a grappler wants to prove the absolute supremacy of grappling as a martial art, i think they should compete in mma without ever resorting to a strike. not saying it's plausible, but it would look pretty ninja.

Yeah but whats the striker supposed to do if he gets taken down??

There are already events with no striking rules. Fighters compete in them all the time, grappling matches. But in a MMA fight, it's a combination of skills that attracts fans.

LOL groundfighter2000........

you made me spit tea all over with "Hi KKMs"......... :o)

What are KKMs? :( :( I am such a n00b.

Dear KKM,

Plenty of people have won MMA matches without throwing a strike.

Please post again when you have a point.

i don't know if any of you know how silly internet elitism looks, but you might want to look into that.

my point, to clarify, was that if someone made a point of never striking, made it clear to their opponents and the fans that they would never strike, it would be interesting to see how they would fare and how that could in some way prove that grappling alone provides a strong enough base to compete in mma even against athletes who aren't limiting their range or tools.

apparently that was a bit much for any of you to comprehend.
