Toby Imada Vs. James Krause At Bellator 14

by Andrew Gladstone - 04-12-2010

Toby Imada (23-13) informed MMA Recap earlier today that he now will be fighting WEC veteran James Krause (11-2) at Bellator 14 in Chicago, Illinois. Originally Imada was scheduled to face former judo Olympian Ferrid Kheder, but sources close to the situation have informed MMA Recap that Kheders' appendix burst and is currently in the hospital.

"Fighting Thursday!!! My fight got moved up a week, but 'Whatever'!!!", Imada said on facebook.

Imada last saw action after defeating Japanese fighter Daisuke Hanazawa by knock out at "King of the Cage: Toryumon." Last year Imada made it all the way to the finals of the tournament, however he was defeated by top ranked lightweight Eddie Alvarez. Imada will look to get back on track in Bellator with a win over WEC veteran James Krause.

After an unsuccessful stint in the WEC, James Krause will look to get back to get his second straight victory when he takes on the veteran Toby Imada. Krause last competed at Titan Fighting Championships 15 and defeated Kalel Robinson by triangle choke in the second round.

At this point MMA Recap would like to wish Kheder a speedy recovery and that he can return to action real soon.

War Toby.  Sucks for Kheder, but these things happen.

damn im gonna be at Bellator 15, i was looking forward to Imada/Kheder

Hornbuckles opponent was just changed too, this event is going down hill

Good luck to Krause in that fight. One of the nicest dudes in the sport right there.

What's the rest of the prelim card?

The event is in 3 days, yet the Bellator web site only lists the main card and then says "TBA." I guess that's short for "Prelims To Be Announced by the ring announcer immediately right before the fight begins."

Rumored prelim fights from various sources: Curran v. Ricci, Freire v. Romero, Herrig v. Vitoria.

I got Krause winning this one in a decision.
