In between the 3rd and 4th Bones' corner yells this at him.
What does this mean?
Cat and Mouse tactics....the giant pianos and anvils never showed.
i made a thread about this somewhere else here was my thoughts on it
Jackson-Winklejohn Tom & Jerry Strategy
you may have heard Jones corner yelling this to him between the rounds.. while I don't know for sure, I am assuming it's the strategy of making a guy chase you around the endless fucking octagon, and then jump in to strike a quick combo, and jump out, repeat cycle. They work on being chased, frustrating the guy, then making the opponent lose focus. It seems to be very effective in fights where the opponent is fighting w emotion. You see Jackson guys implementing this strategy a lot, most notably in the Diaz-Condit title fight and many Guida fights where he gets guys to chase him, commit, and then shoot for the takedown. Any thoughts on this type of strategy? It seems to be very effective, especially when paired w talented offensive fighters. It seems to reign them in a bit and keep them from an unnecessary slugfest
I agree. Crack crack crack circle like GJ was saying.
Yep. The previous posters got it right. Jj seemed to ignore this and clinch instead however
jackson-winklejohn are the best at making gameplans around non-fighting approaches. Bizzare that running away from your opponent and getting chased is now a super effective strategy in the eyes of the judges.
At least Jones did well to get his offensive output in in between the wall n stall and the running away.
what Myles Jury tried to do against Cowboy.

they were calling for this move
Lol! That's excellent.
