For those of you who haven't heard yet, our good friend and all around awesome MMA fighter Tom Sauer was recently in a pretty horrible motorcycle accident. He was traveling about 60 mph when a cop car pulled out in front of him, he jumped off his bike sliding across the hood of the cop car, clipped his foot and tumbled about 30 yards... He has a broken pelvic bone and his foot is shattered in multiple locations.. Tom is such a great guy....I hope he gets better soon.
I just spoke to tom and he is hurting pretty bad. shattered one foot and broke the other one. Hip fractured and over all banged up.
a cop did a u turn in the middle of the road and turned into toms path and tom had no chance to avoid it.
tom hit the cop car and went over the hood after hitting the side of it.
he said he kinda did a superman as he jumped off the bike.

Went to see Tommy yesterday. Broken right foot, badly broken left ankle/foot. Had surgery pins and all. Hip is NOT broken (thank God) pulled ligaments and pelvis separated but no broken bones in the pelvic area. only feet and ankles.
Please bust his balls about NOT wearing a helmet or jacket when you see him.
It was about 12AM and they were they only 2 vehicles on the road!
Dr. says full recovery. He was set to fight Wes Combes in August too. Hopefully he'll be back soon.
He was released today for home.

Any updates on Tom's recovery?
Tom is Miraculously ok now... He has been confined to a wheel chair for the past several weeks but this guy is absolutely made of Iron. He's lucky to be alive and he actually worked as a corner for his two fighters at the last AOF, Rooster and Boom Boom. He's smiling and very thankful to be alive, Tom Sauer is a beast!
