If Joe had his way, we’ve never see a fight go past the first round. This has gotten way too common. Any time someone takes damage, the announcers start calling for the ref to stop it. Ridiculous.
You can tell Joe would have no heart as a fighter, or if he was a coach he’d be calling off fights early.
Another event where I’ve found the commentary abysmal. Imagine if NHL games were called like this. A team is down after 2 periods, and the third is basically the commentary not calling the action but going down a rabbit hole of sucking off the winning team while calling for the other team to quit.

Then when they show the best strikes of the round at the break they don’t even show the most significant strike of the round, the knockdown. What the fuck. Joe has to ask to see it. This is sloppy performance all around

these saying have got to be used less and not thrown around when the fight continues on fight after fight it looks real bad ufc
It’s pretty pathetic. Joe is obsessed with brain damage. Newsflash joe, these are consenting adults that are aware of the risks. Trying to mitigate that risk just makes for a really shitty product.
