We're posting this here because we're looking for a Canadien fan to manage these rankings on our site...they will be posted there soon...
http://www.mmaoutsider.com/
These are not intended to be a complete list of rankings. I have limited knowledge on Canadian fighters and am too busy to manage all the regional rankings.
This is just something to start with and to let you know that we're going to be listing them on our site.
But if you know of any good fighters that aren't listed...or, if you have more info on any fighters, then please, we'll be glad if you like to contribute.
Thanks/merci
ECC champ Stjepan Vujnovic
HammerHead44 - ECC champ Stjepan Vujnovic
He's not at 170?
He had a couple fights @ 185lbs in ECC and won the title but is a natural 170lber I believe.
Chris Fontaine, fights at 185
Shawn Marchand 7-5,
3 fight win streak
2of 5 loses to #6 Jason day
Denis Kang
Patrick Cote
David Loiseau
Jason MacDonald
Joe Doerksen
Travis Galbraith
Jason Day
Kalib Starnes
Nick Hinchliffe
Dan Chambers
Chad Cox 5-1 Fit Plus, not top 10 but deserves to be mentioned.
Newton is back at 170.
I lift weights. That should put me higher than number five.
And if they are using the who beat whom mentality that they say they are, Joe beat Cote and Kang so he should be at #1 or 2.

Mike Russell - Just out of curiosity, who made up these rankings and what was the criteria used? I notice you're from Hawaii and don't know who the Canadian promotional champions are so I thought I'd ask....
Mike, Before you get too excited, let me explain something to you...
I manage the World Rankings for our website. Every weight class from 115lbs-HW. I also manage the Women's World Rankings. The P4P Rankings. The Linear World Title History. The MMA HOF.
And i was asked to make a Regional Rankings.
I'm posting these on here because it's just too much for one person to do all this. And you're right i do not know enough about every fighter to accurately maintain rankings for each nation/region.
That's one reason i'm posting them here. I started with the best could. Now i am asking for you guys to fill-in the blanks.
Once we have them up on our site, you'll be able to vote and decide who get's ranked where.
But if one person manages them, they have to understand that contender rankings should never be a talent contest. They aren't ranked by who is the most talented.
They should be ranked based on recent PERFORMANCE.
Basically, WHO-BEAT-WHO.
So if you want to be the one to manage them then you'll definitely be considered.
HammerHead44 - Chad Cox 5-1 Fit Plus, not top 10 but deserves to be mentioned.
He's not at 185?
Lol, I beat Kang and Cote. I lost to MacDonald...twice. MacDonald lost to Cote. So how can you base the rankings based on who beat who? It's all a big mess. Oh well, good luck. I lift weights. Please keep that in mind when voting, everyone!!
Joe Doerksen - Lol, I beat Kang and Cote. I lost to MacDonald...twice. MacDonald lost to Cote. So how can you base the rankings based on who beat who? It's all a big mess. Oh well, good luck. I lift weights. Please keep that in mind when voting, everyone!!
No disrespect Joe, but...
Okay, i'll explain this in simple terms.
Yeah, ou beat Cote...OVER THREE YEARS AGO!
You beat Kang...OVER SIX YEARS AGO!!!
Now compare your recent performance over the past 2 years with theirs.
Case closed.
Dr. Phil says that any time someone says "no disrespect to you" they disrespect you.
He also says any time someone says "but" it means ignore everything I just said before the "but".
i.e. You have a valid argument, but....
Rankings are tough to do, especially if you don't follow a sport in a specific region.
I could never rank Italian soccer.
In my experience (which isn't very much) MMAth DOESN'T work and rankings really don't mean much to fighters or promotions.
Ask Matt Serra if he cares where he was ranked before he beat GSP.
Listen to Dr. Phil. He is a very smart man.

Lol, then don't put me on your list. I get paid the same, either way.
shanoknowsmma, there's a dude named Mark Pavelich who posts on here quite regularly. I think the two of you would get along very well. And he also happens to know everything about mma and everything else in the world. He could prob give you an accurate list of who's the best in each weight class in Canada. You wouldn't have to bother with anyone else.
