Jake Shields
jake is bigger than all the 170 lbers out there except maybe fitch.
In shape B.J. Penn
I think Anthony Johnson is dangerous. A huge underdog, but very dangerous.
none1 - I think Anthony Johnson is dangerous. A huge underdog, but very dangerous.
...No... Just... No...
Yeah, a in shape BJ Penn for sure.
Fitch wouldn't have a hope in fucking HELL of beating GSP or coming anywhere close. GSP is the better wrestler, striker, far more explosive, better ground game and a better overall fighter.
I'm not saying Johnson has the best overall skill-set at 170, but he is a powerful striker with a big reach advantage, and good wrestling.
Serra knocked GSP out but Johnson has 0 chance?
talked to one of the guys that trained johnson before his fight and he said johnson dropped from 205 to make that last fight. the guy is a beast and would have a chance no doubt. I don't even see how he can be in that weight class.
Diego, if he puts some size on .
BJ
The fighter I think matches up the best with GSP is Eddie Alvarez. I think Eddie would struggle with some of the other guys in the 170 lb division but think that Eddie's strengths match-up well with GSP's weaknesses.
Pitbull
Eddie is too small for GSP. He would be disected in one round. No disrespect to Eddie.
GSP would run through Diego.
BJ Penn.
Also even though Gomi would be giving away a bit of size, he is very good at beating wrestlers, I think he would stand a good chance of making this a fight.
If GSP stood with him for any length of time, Gomi would cause him some serious problems. Infact if Gomi could fend off even 1 or 2 takedowns, I would say he would have an excellent chance of KOing GSP.
EightBall - Outside of BJ, I still say it's Koscheck. If he goes into another fight with GSP focused on stopping the takedown, it could be a long night for George. Or maybe a short one.
Koscheck could very well be the next best WW to GSP very soon, if not already.
That said, GSP stood with Kos all of Round 3 when they fought (until Kos went for the TD) and GSP picked Kos apart on the feet. Kos is fast, with powerful, wild punches, but he couldn't land anything on GSP, and couldn't stop GSP's striking.
I agree with EightBall, I think its pretty clear that Koscheck let his wrestling go a little, and if he was to come back with some of that D1 calibre, a fight between those two could potentially be very exciting on the feet.
BJ FTMFW.
Joke Bomber - Gomi would take GSP's heart in front of millions of screaming fans.
Dana does not want that.
Thats pretty much what im thinking.
