Training around Cincinnati

Hey all.

I'm done working at the Grand Canyon and am moving to Cincinnati, OH with my girlfriend in about a month and finding a job and a place to continue training MMA.

If anyone has any suggestions for good places around I'd love to come check something out.

So far it seems my best bet is the Miletich gym in Taylor Mill, KY since it's only about 20 minutes away but I was hoping some UGers who train in this area could give me some suggestions or info.

Last time I trained was at SBGI in Portland with Matt Thornton where I spent about 2 months doing BJJ before I left to work at Crater Lake.

Jorge Gurgel is not that far away from you. That would be your best choice. Lots of UFC Vets train there and the instruction is second to none.

Team Jorge Gurgel.com is your best bet from Cincinnati. Also, Sacan Martial Arts (Neil Rowe) has excellent Muay Thai.

Alot of Jorge's guys train with Neil, I know. So you should go check those places out. Seriously. If you are at all interested in competitive MMA or Grappling, Jorge's is where you want to be.

Are you guys talking about Grove City or Middletown for Jorge Gurgel's school?

I'm in west Cincinatti at the moment.

Only thing's I'm seeing in the school finder within cinci is Team GForce and Cincinatti MMA. Anyone know if these are decent? I also found a Miletich school about 20 minutes from here in KY.

I was just told Jorge Gurgels (In Middletown) is about 35-45 minutes away which isn't too bad but the other on in Columbus is about 2 hours from here.

Jorge's school is now in West Chester. It's closer to Cincinnati than his old school in Middletown. It is the place to be. Follow the link above for information.

Yeah, I just found out it was in West chester and I map quested it, it's about 34 minutes from here which isn't so bad.
