Training for my son

vagabond -
oioisavvy - My five and six year old keep asking me to sign them up for kickboxing.

They got the idea because they have friends who take boxing classes and my boys think that's great, but they are competitive and think kickboxing beats boxing due to being the same, but you can kick too.

Their knowledge comes mainly from a game on their tablets, monkey boxing. Phone Post 3.0

I would refrain from that until they are a little more developed. Brain trauma on the littluns doesn't sound like a great idea. You could run into some serious development problems.

Thanks for the concern, but the reason they keep bugging me is I won't let them do it yet.
Although I have been tempted to see if there is an alternative they would enjoy. Phone Post 3.0

I stepped into my first Gracie's gym the other day and it was an amazing experience, I would highly recommend starting him off with BJJ for discipline, respect and good self defence just shop around most places will allow your son to do a free training session and you can sit by and observe. At this point, just put him in a martial art he likes so he doesn't grow to hate training. Let your Son choose for a while and steer him as you go.

This is my suggestion Phone Post 3.0

Thanks to the mod who took care of that asshole. He was way out of line.
