Training Neck with Legcurl?

Can someone outline an exercise routine for the neck helmet?

I find it hard to train the neck properly, especially with added resistance and if you're on your own.

We have no "neck only" machines at the gym where I'm at, I've seen people lay in the leg curl doing neck exercises.

They lay flat in it, with their neck where you normally put your feet!

I'm considering trying this, I just want to make sure it's safe :-)

Have anyone tried this or have comments on it? Would you think it's safe? (I think if you're using it strict, with low weight, it should be sage)

Thanks for your opinion on this, my personal opinion is that the neck should be trained just as everything else, still not a lot of people train the neck... (I do shrugs allready).

I dont train my neck at all but there are other ways to do it:1. Just use your hand to provide resistance.
2. Lie at the edge of a bench, your head off the bench, with a towel on your head and put a weight on it, and resist it.
3. Same as above but curl your head against the weight.
4. BridgesIm sure there are alot more you can do.-Tony

You could build a neck helmet. You can train all
directions of motion and use progressively heavier
weight as you go. If you're interested, post a request
and I'll give you instructions on how to make one.

Lee, could you please post the "neck helmet" instructions again? I don't see the old thread on the subject in the archives, so a lot of people could probably benefit from a re-post....
