Trigg would beat Charuto

hmmm...I think I disagree...I don't think this is a good match-up for Trigg.

the best fighters in the UFC are the ones that won at the latest UFC.

rAw power baby!

usurper is correct

Charuto will submit Trigg, based on the fact that unlike Hughes Trigg will go for broke (which I give him credit for) but end up getting caught.

You guys keep calling Charuto a BJJ specialist, but forget that he dismantled all of his opponnents with his stand up before Hughes. He dazed Carlos Newton a few times(which I have not seen many do) and he beat the living daylights out of Gil Castillo on there feet were the majority of the fight stayed. Charuto has a great stand up game as well. Trgg would get destroyed. especially seen Charuto's "loss" to Hughes, I guaruntee he is going to become a much better fighter then before.

Charuto def has good standup. You could see how Hughes was pushing the quick shot and risk a defended takedown/clinch situation, rather than risk getting punched.

I think Charuto beats Trigg or anybody else, maybe even Hughes in a rematch...or at least makes it so tough to score it's a controversy.

Chartuo is way better than trigg in the standup department, and if Hughes was trying to gnp Charuto and couldn't. what makes you think that Trigg could.. and in other words Trigg got SUBMITTED by a pure wrestler, Charuto is master of subs. Charuto by submission in round one..

Trigg by GnP

Charuto is an awesome fighter, even against the likes of Trigg.

Robin.

Trigg can win the match...if he gives his back up, game over.

Interesting fight, I'd like to see it, both are 1-1 in the UFC and both lost to Hughes, so it would make a good match to sift the top contender (after Hughes) out IMO.

That being said, I would also be happy to see Hughes vs Trigg II for the title right now. The first match was great and I think Trigg has a great chance against Hughes.

Charuto by rear naked choke. Look at what he did to Castillo.

Charuto would dominate the pace and would control Trigg from the bottom, just as with Hughes, although Trigg would probably try harder to mount an offense with strikes.

Trigg wouldn't likely end up on the bottom, though, so there is virtually zero chance of Charuto winning a decision, just as the 30-27 scores indicated there was no way for him to win a decision against Hughes, if he was fighting from his back and did not get a tap-out or finishing submission.
