Helps save over half a billion dollars of US citizens money that was being given to an organization that is either directly or indirectly influenced by the CCP and has spread disinformation or erroneous info throughout this entire pandemic.

I don’t follow politics or most world news. I just catch bits and pieces here and there.

Haven’t WHO been caught lying multiple times about corona?

Never forget that Tedros is not a medical doctor and the Obama Admin. lobbied for him to get the top spot @ WHO over an actual medical doctor because of diversity and affirmative action.

You should be very wary of any Think Tank especially created by the Rockefeller foundation and their associates by directly and indirectly.

Lockstep: Rockefeller plan details government takeover through pandemic martial law

A Rockefeller Foundation and Global Business Network whitepaper published in May of 2010 reveals a planned scenario in which governments around the world would be able to more easily take over society and institute a total and complete Orwellian police state by locking down the remaining few humans that survive a contrived pandemic outbreak.

The report titled Scenarios for the Future of Technology and International Development has a stated goal of creating “a world of tighter top-down government control and more authoritarian leadership, with limited innovation and growing citizen pushback.”

“A world in which highly coordinated and successful strategies emerge for addressing both urgent and entrenched worldwide issues… An economically unstable and shock-prone world in which governments weaken, criminals thrive, and dangerous innovations emerge… An economically depressed world in which individuals and communities develop localized, makeshift solutions to a growing set of problems.”

The report goes on to detail a scenario dubbed “Lockstep” which reads:

In 2012, the pandemic that the world had been anticipating for years finally hit. Unlike 2009’s H1N1, this new influenza strain—originating from wild geese—was extremely virulent and deadly. Even the most pandemic-prepared nations were quickly overwhelmed when the virus streaked around the world, infecting nearly 20 percent of the global population and killing 8 million in just seven months, the majority of them healthy young adults. The pandemic also had a deadly effect on economies: international mobility of both people and goods screeched to a halt, debilitating industries like tourism and breaking global supply chains. Even locally, normally bustling shops and office buildings sat empty for months, devoid of both employees and customers.

The pandemic blanketed the planet—though disproportionate numbers died in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Central America, where the virus spread like wildfire in the absence of official containment protocols. But even in developed countries, containment was a challenge. The United States’ initial policy of “strongly discouraging” citizens from flying proved deadly in its leniency, accelerating the spread of the virus not just within the U.S. but across borders. However, a few countries did fare better—China in particular. The Chinese government’s quick imposition and enforcement of mandatory quarantine for all citizens, as well as its instant and near-hermetic sealing off of all borders, saved millions of lives, stopping the spread of the virus far earlier than in other countries and enabling a swifter post-pandemic recovery.

Just four questions.

Doesn't that isolate the US in any future worldwide health issues and do you believe isolation is a good thing?

Many first world countries have been given the same WHO information as the US and handled the situation much better, why is that?

The US had a seat on the executive board left empty for a long period, because the senate (you know, with Republican majority) didn't vote on Trump's nomination three times.

With that seat filled, do you think, that the WHO’s response would have been something that benefitted the US more?

Half a billion dollar. The defense budget is around 685 billion. Don’t you think that pandemics and world health issues are a matter of national security that deserves 0.072% of the defense budget?

The answer is easy

if you don’t trust the WHO and believe they do and say things to benefit China

then why be part of it?

OP, the WHO failed repeatedly on COVID 19 guidance. It's documented, we should leave.

I find it to be a great move considering the concerning nature of various appointments and agenda in the organization. I’m not a diehard Trump fan so what category should I be in, hurry up find one to put me in.

This is clear.

It's clear we are paying for an organization controlled by a foreign power who's interests are frequently fundamentally opposed to our own.

In the middle of a worldwide pandemic, Trump withdraws from the WHO.

Can someone please explain to me, how this move is for the overall good of Americans and is making America great again. Thanks.

Because the WHO has become a political mouthpiece for the CCP.  They are unreliable and have misled the entire world about this pandemic.

I do find it ironic though that Trump is trying to claim that covid is no big deal, which is kind of what the WHO initially said, but now Trump is mad at them even though they said (lied) from the start and said it was no big deal, just like China told them to say.

Trump is being his usualy dumb hypocritical self, even when he's right about the WHO.

There are other organizations and have you kept up with how they screwed everyone?

On the surface it might look like a bad move.  That's until you find out how politicized the organization has become.  For whatever reason, they seem to be 100% subservient to the wishes of the CCP.  Which is odd because they contribute a fraction of what the U.S. contributes.  My guess is the CCP hands over a nice briefcase full of cash to the heads of the WHO every year.  They get a lot more out of it than if they increased their funding ten fold

The WHO parroted every talking point that the CCP wanted early in the virus.  Said the virus wasn't transmissible from human to human.  Said not to wear masks.  Refused to call it a pandemic even after spreading to 50 countries.  Then there was the interview with the WHO senior offical where he hangs up on her after asking questions about Taiwan and why they weren't allowed to be members.  China considers Taiwan their territory and it's a touchy subject.   The WHO official acted like China was their boss and refused to talk about it.  Every question she asked, the offical responded by saying China was doing a great job.
