Voted up buddy!

Is it me or did Cathal really not look impressive at all?  Credit to his win.  It seems he could have done a lot more damage while on top.

Great fight VU taz

Thanks, voyed you both up.

No its a fact.

I really doubt he'll win the show, or make any kind of waves in the UFC.

That third round was brutal to watch. Phone Post 3.0

Watching Cathal in the european leagues i was never that impressed and didnt understand why he got the special spot in this season of tuf.

This fight did just put a jar of gasoline on my fire.

He didn't look great but, in fairness he normally fights at welterweight Phone Post 3.0

He didn't look great at 185. Looked a totally different fighter.

I think he may have stayed a little punch drunk for most the fight and was on instinct mode the whole time Phone Post 3.0

Cathal got a lot of hype because he's from Conor's team and it'd be cool to have a fighting Irishman up at 185 too but.... none of his fights in Europe ever screamed get this guy in the UFC. And I tuned in last night in the 3rd round not even realizing it was Pendred fighting and couldn't stop yelling at the TV for him to stop FUCKING sprawling on him for 5 mins, a professional doesn't sit in that position. Hope he proves me wrong, cause like I said it'd be nice to see more Irish blood in the UFC. Phone Post 3.0

LOL @ Cathal being hyped because he's from the same gym as Conor. Why don't the twenty other pro fighters there have a hype train so?

Cathal worked his way up to win the Cagewarriors title (the number one title in Europe) and beat everyone put in front of him.

Yes, he's a grinder, but don't judge him on one fight, at a weight class above his own. He was seriously rocked in the first round, and his opponent spent the next two trying not to lose, and hoping for a DQ. Frankie was screaming at him to do something, but he just wanted to stay turtled. Cathal played it safe and maintained a solid position.

If you want a more exciting fight of his, here's one against David Bielkheden:

So does anyone know who the other Cage Warriors champs are? Hmm I got a funny feeling its cus he's Conor's teammate Phone Post 3.0

Chris Fields is Conor's teammate as well and he doesn't have the same kind of hype. Phone Post 3.0

They were talking like this dude is gonna run through everyone, but he didn't look very impressive at all, besides showing a lot of heart.

Does his opponent hector usually fight at 170 as well? He looked anything but jacked for 185 Phone Post 3.0

The worst display of "playing the game" that I've ever seen! Herb Dean would be disappoint.

This guy would have been destroyed in Pride.
