I actually think they had a great plan to kickoff the second season. Pick the two weakest links, and when everyone thinks they are just kicked off like that, they give them a chance to pick an opponent and prove that they belong! That was a great twist that had the potential to really make the first episode great. Unfortunately due to a couple fighters who lack heart, that plan was ruined and the first episode was full of disappointments.
At least I'm excited to see who the new heavyweight is next week. Anyway, despite the disappointment of the first episode, the fact that they had that twist planned has me hopeful about the future of the show...I'm sure they have many more twists and turns planned to keep everything interesting!
Kenny tried, I'll give him credit for that. I don't understand why he came in so heavy, but I really think he gave it his all in cutting the weight, he was obviously in some physical and emotional distress when he was in that sauna and started throwing things, that's a scary situation and if he felt his health was in danger then he did the right thing. I hope he'll be back to fight again, he's got an impressive record.
Eli, on the other hand, I hope I never see again, fucking bitch...
my feelings on Kenny is that, as Tex pointed out, there's no way he should have had to cut so much weight. They all saw season 1, they should come in at least knowing what to expect a little bit. But there's already a ton of threads on that, my main point of this thread is that it was actually a great idea...when they told Kenny he could pick someone to fight, I was very excited that we were going to see a fight right away. It was a great twist, it's just too bad it didn't pan out.
