TUF has gotten pretty boring, but on the other hand, Bisping is honestly REALLY funny, and he and the co host on TUF Talk do a great job in their comedy/straight woman roles. I don’t know if Bisping does that show hammered drunk or not, but if he does, he should keep doing it. I find him genuinely funny and he pushes the envelop a bit by not being PC. I was happy for Florian to get to do some media outside of MMA, and he is good, but Bisping may have better potential to cross over into other sports and entertainment hosting.

I’m not a TUF hater. I’ve watched most of every season, but they really don’t get the absurd characters doing absurd things they used to in the early days, and the fact that they are getting better and better fighters and the way MMA has evolved results in less exciting fights and finishes, even though they are very competitive. I like when they do profiles on the fighters’ home lives and all that as well. But an hour long TV show needs more than that and a highly competitive 10 minute fight at the end to be really entertaining. Reality tv is kind of designed to need some real trainwrecks.

But Bisping is kind of like a trainwreck every week and has also polished his media persona and personality to the point where he could get big on tv.

Oh man I’ve tried watching this season but I’m already bored to death…they have never tried to switch or change up the show…they show us lots of gym footage which is tired by now, then they give us a little background on the guys fighting…it’s all just so meh now though…
