TUFers literally picked from filthy streets?

wtf was that...some of those dudes reminded me of the guys that come train bjj for a couple months and then go around telling their freinds that they are ultimate fighters...

I learned this a longgg time ago. They've always been doing this.

^ There were two London fighters, and the Wolfslair is in Liverpool.

Thats a pretty dumn thing to say.
I know a number of the guys on the the UK team and I can tell you theyre far from what you saying.

How long you been training for Goku?

If those same filthy streets produced lee murrray, maybe there's another potential diamond in the rough/grime/filth

Damn, why all the hate? there are actually legit guys on that show. And it will be legit on both sides. Crazy how people bash pro fighters. If you dont like what you see dont watch.

had to actually check lol

story > fighting

his name absolves him of all grammatical errors.

This season's too Ginger for me.

They seemed to be slightly better at striking and worse at wrestling than the average group of TUF hopefuls

That would follow the general profile of the UK, with a stronger striking background than the USA, but a much weaker wrestling background.

Most British fighters will only have learned wrestling as part of their MMA training (e.g. no High School wrestling at all).

Pretty much the case. They looked better standing up, but their ground countrol looked weak across the board. They seem to go for submissions very quickly, though.

Just curious, why are there so few UK fighters with big records? Even on the big shows, most of the guys have records like 5-3 or 9-4. Looking at how the losses came about, it seems like many are quick submissions early in their career. Are UK fighters rushed into fights before they're ready?

I actually thought minus a few they looked better then any first day cast yet.Like the last dude, geez.

nate787 - filfy IMO.

Damnit, beat me to it.

Skelboy would be proud

Dana was riding the Brits nuts pretty hard. I hope the Americans show them what the sport is all about. Plus I cannot stand Bisping. The guy has been the most protected fighter in the UFC.

these guys need WRESTLING stat!

other than that I saw 3 -4 good guys, the rest suck ass.

Lets wait to see the americans until we talk to much shit though...

Rashad Evans

Name the 2 former UFC champs, and current UFC champ that Bisping has fought.

I felt bad for the Ginger kid, he looked out of place.

On the British team Jeff Lawson has very good judo. He was one of the lightweights who had orange hair. I'm interested to see how well he adapts it without the gi.
