Two BJJ gear questions

I have to start wearing a rashguard. I've gotten ringworm one too many times and I get hit especially hard after competing. I usually get it on my forearms or wrist so a shortsleeve wont help. I tried rolling in a longsleeve but it was just too hot. Is there a brand that breathes really well? Anyone here use em?

Also, i'm on the market for a new gi. I hear Koral is the best. 4110 for a new white competition gi, not bad. Anyone have any thoughts about Koral or whatever brand they think is best?

Thanks guys,
Adam

Anyone?

i read underarmor.com is good

best gi?
1. atama (if u dont mind the back seam)
2. MKimonos
3. Howards
4. Koral

I wear Under armor under my gi. Go with the Koral gi. It's light strong and breaths well and dries faster that most gi's. But if you for anything else, get an ATAMA.

Check out our rashguards...
The Hydrotex Cabrinha breathes well and is very comfortable

www.Dogsofwar.net

is it possible to put up a clearer picture of that Cabrinha logo that's on the rashy?

under armor rips easier but is very breathable, however it was not designed for grappling

I wear vitamins and minerals rash guard it has held up for some time, Atama also makes them and I have heard good things

Underarmour is by far the best for breathability.

no one sells a plain white LS one huh...

probably a stupid question by me ...but I'll go ahead and ask. How do rashguards help prevent ringworm?

No skin to skin contact.

Underarmour sells hot weather, coldweather and all season gear. I was hoping they had a longsleeve for hot weather because I assumed it would breath the best but they don't sell it. Anyone roll with their long sleeve? Does it keep the heat in or does it breath well? Like i said, im trying to avoid the shortsleeve since it doesnt protect me in the only places i've gotten the worm. (wrist, forearm)

What you want is UA's longsleeve Turfgear.

I use an XCEL long sleeve rashguard. They are a wetsuit company out of Hawaii, and make really quality stuff, and make all different solid colors, as well as multi colored ones.

I also just got an ATAMA single weave for $70. By far the best gi I have owned (Rednose, Krugans, & Century)

Aloha,

Dogg

Xcel makes an excellent rash guard...
we carry them also at www.dogsofwar.net

$70? Man thats a great price. The ones i'm looking at are around $110.

Thanks a lot guys for all your advice.

Rashguards help prevent ringworm by reducing the amount and severity of abrasions in your skin. Ringworm really likes cuts, scrapes and abraded areas.
