Two different plans to save TUF from sucking

Plan 1: The Regional Champions. Take 4 teams from each regions of the country ( N,S,E,W ) that are made up of guys who currently hold titles in regional shows.

Each region already had shows that are pretty much feeder shows to the UFC, so take thier champs and have a four man tourny in each weight class.

Plan 2: The diamond in the rough. Get a bunch of guys who are sick in part of the game, and get them specific coaching on a weak area and follow their progress. Maybe take a guy with great stand up, and follow him as he learns bjj. Maybe even enter him in a grappling competion before he gets to fight mma.

Or just go full douchebag, but let them fight in the house, let them out on the town to get in fights, just really go total Jersey Shore style.

ok, I guess that is really three plans.

I would think with the rating being as dismal as they are a change would be welcomed.

The 'hard core' fans dont want to watch the current show, and obviously the 'new fans' are not interested either.

Just let them bang bro.

How about they actually focus on training and what specifically the fighters are doing to prepare for thier upcoming matchups in diet, strength and conditioning, wrrstling, boxing and JJ.

Just a thought. I know it's waaaaayyyyyy out there, but a show about fighting should be a show about fighting.

TUF 1 gave a good insight on MMA and explained more of the game, had talent = Great show

TUF 4: Interesting concept, the winner mattered for title picture in the UFC, had talent, had guest popular fighters/coaches= great show

TUF 14(?)= new weightclass= new talent (see season )

I personally liked the 12th season with Kos and GSP, had talent, GSP really went in depth with training, Kos had the competitor spirit to have there time focus on the fighting, and some personality to balance it out Phone Post

i like your ideas

4

Quit filling the show with a bunch of little guys and actually put some HW or LHW talent on there. Every season with HW or LHW talent has been a ratings success.

The horse has been beaten to death and it is time to say goodnight Irene.

Maybe a special once in a while if it's a big deal, but they crank these things out at a rate of way more than one a season and have sucked the talent pool of people willing to go through UFC boot camp completely dry.

Anyone with real talent ain't got time for that shit.

Wonkamaster - Just let them bang bro.

This is the only thing that will work.

Have a one night 8 man tournament

1 drunk guy

1 stoned guy

1 guy on LSD

1 guy on meth

1 guy on shrooms

1 guy on coke

1 sober guy

1 guy on Jacob's Ladder

Then, you may let them bang bro.

You do. You do let them bang

My money's on the coke dude

i like plan 1. one problem i see with tuf is that the best fighters are not always selected! Was it galvao who tried out one year and didnt make it onto the show? seems like a guy of that caliber would be a good candidate for an up and coming MMA fighter!

I say the international TuF's have proven that those are a much better idea.  If the US needs to have a season, once a year do a US vs someone else season.   Maybe do a big mix up next year with all the TuF's.  Say, Brazil vs US, Canada vs UK and Australia vs Japan or Korea.

Problem is our best up and coming fighters are wrestling based, and the best foreign up and comers weakness is wrestling

If you go US vs Brazil, alot of the Brazillians have strong ground games, or if you go against Canada we have a fair amount of decent wrestlers.  Most Canadian fighters out of Quebec and Ontario have wrestling bases generally.

The Jacob's Ladder guy will either tear his opponent's limbs off, or spend the whole time crawling around on the cage like a gecko.

I'm DVRing that shit. Phone Post

No way, the Jacob's ladder dude, LSD dude, and meth dudes will all be too busy having double barrell freakouts to engage.

Drunkey will be the one that wants to bang the most bro, but he'll be all uncoordinated and shit.  Stoned dude will just want to let you bang bro and maybe give you a hug.

Mark my words.  Coke dude takes this shit.
