Two questions about Scarface

I'm considering buying this game, but had a couple of questions for those that have played it.

1: Can you just drive around freely without having to complete a mission (I like the fact that in GTA I can just drive around and do whatever I want, and not necessarily have to accomplish anything)?

2: Are there radio stations for background music (similar to GTA)?

actually you can drive around and do different stuff and still progress in the game. Killing random people for drugs and money will get you exotics which raise your reputation. etc.

I DLd it for the PC and man did it suck. It was a straight port with appaling console style controls. Too bad they didnt put a little effort into it and give us great controls like in the GTA games...
