Tyron Woodley vs Vincente Luque at 260 3/27

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is close to finalizing an interesting Welterweight matchup between former division champion, Tyron Woodley, and top contender, Vicente Luque.

According to MMA Fighting, the fight is expected to go down at the upcoming ufc 260 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which is scheduled to go down on March 27, 2021, which will likely go down inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Woodley is in desperate need of a win after dropping three straight at the hands of Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns and Colby Covington, who he lost to in his last fight last September. Prior to his skid “The Chosen One” was on a six-fight win streak including three consecutive title defenses.

His skid took him down a few pegs in the rankings and put a dent in his case to be known as the greatest Welterweight of all time. That said, a win over Luque would be a great way to turn things around.

As for Luque, he is currently riding a two-fight win streak, knocking out Niko Price and Randy Brown in back-to-back outing. Overall, he has won eight of his last nine outings inside the Octagon.

UFC 260 will feature the long-awaited Heavyweight championship rematch between division champion, Stipe Miocic, taking on Francis Ngannou. The co-main event will see Alexander Volkanovski defend his Featherweight strap against Brian Ortega, while Johnny Walker and Jimmy Crute are expected to throw down in main card action.

The UFC has moved a highly anticipated heavyweight matchup between Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Ciryl Gane into a main event slot on Feb. 27, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN on Tuesday.

The heavyweight fight was originally targeted for a card on March 13. However, the UFC changed it to a five-round headliner at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 27, after the earlier event's original main event, a light heavyweight contest between Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka, was postponed.

Rozenstruik (11-1) broke the news himself on social media, and sources confirmed to ESPN that the promotion plans to finalize and announce the bout.

"Ladies and gentlemen, my fight against Ciryl Gane got rescheduled for February 27," Rozenstruik wrote on Twitter. "[Five rounds by five minutes], main card. Spread the word!"
