UFC has an effective formula for posters but this one it not that well executed IMO. At first glance one's eyes are drawn to Cain and Rothwell first are hard to find Lyoto and Shogun, and this is definitely my biggest issue. The diamond pattern on the UFC logo looks a bit tacky and title fonts look a bit campy. If this is a play on old saloon style posters (which I'm guessing) then more time should have been spent on it. And the placement of another Lyoto image in the middle is distracting, especially in relation to the TapOut logo.
To the design's credit I do like how the lighting is matched between the opponents, but unfortunately that gets overlooked with all the other issues going on
would be a good poster if it didnt have cain and ben on it. I dont even know what rothwell is doing debuting in a co main event spot.
