I think it's interesting that everyone around here seems really excited for the PPV weekend, yet everyone is bagging on the WEC PPV for being too expensive.
Now I totally agree that from a consumer POV the WEC PPV is overpriced (24.99 seems about fair to me.) But, if 44.99 is too much to pay for Aldo vs. Faber, isn't it too much to pay for Old Timers Day, too?
I'm a huge fan of both Coleman and Couture, but clearly Aldo v. Faber is a WAY better fight in the year 2010.
I'm really excited for both shows, but what I'm saying is why complain about one and not the other? Is it really just the name of the org that matters when you buy a PPV?
What do think UG?
I think the fact that WEC gets such great reviews here on the UG,that it has encouraged the WEC/Zuffa to start charging for PPV`s.It`s not right,it`s not wrong,it`s just the way it is.

The same people complaining about WEC going from free to PPV will fall over themselves to pay $45 for Fedor vs Brett Rogers II later this year, with an undercard of Herschel Walker vs Gilles Arsenne.
WEC main event is obviously far superior to the UFC 109 main event, but it remains to be seen whether the undercard will compare.
Updated WEC card:
Jose Aldo vs. Urijah Faber
Benson Henderson vs. Donald Cerrone
Mike Brown vs. Manny Gamburyan
Anthony Njokuani vs. Shane Roller
Kamal Shalorus vs. Jamie Varner
Antonio Banuelos vs. Damacio Page
Alex Karalexis vs. Zack Micklewright
it's a great card. but it wouldn't have to be a great card to better than 108 and 109.
