Because GSP owned him for 5 rounds and he hasnt shown any improvement in his game since. He should be fighting Shields imo as thats the only fight for those two that wont be a snooze fest since their wrestling would cancel each other out.
I'm sure if Fitch and GSP trained together then Dana would want them to fight.
UFC 126 is going to be sweet but Griffin/Franklin is pointless. And Fitch/Ellenberger is a slap in the face to Fitch imo.
Title shot and Jones/Bader I'm really looking forward to but we'll say if the card stays in one piece. A lot can happen between now and then.
Fitch just owned the #3 welterweight in Thiago Alves on top of that. it's serious bullshit that a one dimensional snuggie like shields who's record is half as impressive as Fitch would get the nod to face GSP.
