UFC 145 in Montreal looks to be PPD

The black hole of not enough main eventers being available has claimed it's first official victim it appears.

Sofa King Cool - Just saw it. <br><br>Must be a free show. <img src="/images/phone/apple.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

Therein lies the rub, it wasn't.

There was some talk of Jones rushing back to fight and save this card vs possibly Hendo, or maybe even Rashad if he comes out of the Davis fight an uninjured winner...but I guess too many ?'s with only 8 weeks between Shad/Davis and this show.

So is this event gonna be moved and now become a Fuel or fight night card?

Also just heard on bloodyelbow radio they are hearing May 5th, Cain vs Mir on Fox is looking to be the fight they are trying to make.

Cain on cinco de mayo on Fox vs Mir.

Joe Vaccaro of sportsnet.ca is reporting that multiple sources are telling him that it's postponed, as in UFC 145 is no longer on March 24th in Montreal.

The show simply didn't have anything resembling a main event and nobody was available to put together a main event. Too many cards and too many injuries/retirements of top guys.

Suess -  that looks like a card full of awesome fights.

It was, except it has zero PPV draws on it. Rory Mac vs Che Mills isn't a FUEL TV main event, much less a PPV main event in a stadium that holds 20k+.

Well the plan was it seems to do hendo/Jones but they are instead gonna wait for Jones vs possibly Rashad in April so yeah with no Jones/Hendo, no Mir/Cain which seems like its gonna happen May 5th on Fox, they really didnt have a big fight.

Do you think most of these fights will now end up on that Atlanta show?

Griggs/Browne, Rory, Shaub/Rothwell, these are good fights that can def be good prelims, even Griggs/Browne could be a first fight of the PPV.

Expect to see these fights moved to Atlanta.

If Atlanta is the benefactor of this card falling apart, I'll be making the drive up from Orlando no ?'s asked.

Ufc 145 is now going to be in Atlanta on April 21st. Ufc will now not have a ppv in March.

Good, make the other cards a little deeper. Simply not enough to go around with the injury situation being what it is.

Yeah they'll do the Fight Night in Australia, the SF show in Ohio, the Fuel Sweden card in Apirl and probably a SF card in April as well but yeah two months between PPV, that is actually good.

Think about it, they will have 2 months to hype up and promote a Jones vs rashad or maybe Hendo title fight.

Two whole months of PPV promo for a possible mega fight with Jones/Rashad, a primetime will def be done, so thats good, they can focus all marketing on Jones/Rashad for two months to make it a big selling fight.

That's a great point. Assuming it's Jones vs Hendo/Rashad, there is now an opportunity to really build up and give it a megafight feel, which is something I think has been missing with this move to a Zuffa show of some sort being nearly every weekend.
