I agree, crazy to think that a fight like Guillard/Varner isn't even the main attraction of the FX show while Che Mills co-mained a PPV earlier this year...I'll take a card like this over something like 145 (1 fight card) or even 154 (2 fight card) any day.
Definitely looking forward to it, can't be any worse than 3 weeks ago watching everyone I was rooting for get their asses kicked and BJ getting styled on by a Canadian robot =(
Can we just agree that fightcard never happened? To see Shogun and BJ lose was just horrendous. I am still having nightmares! LOL
I re-watched Penn/Rory on Christmas Day asking myself the entire time why the hell I was doing so. Never figured out an answer, never looked away.
Even with all the changes I still think this is a great card. I am very excited for a lot of the fights on this card.

They all fight like clones, same shit, jack of all trade clones, none of them have anything exceptional. It also does not add to excitement that they fight simply not to lose and they also have to hug it out mid fight, touch fists and do other MMDouche things.
The old guys were nobodies, but they had personalities and really were out to prove something, there was something to them. The new ones are just faceless, clone nobodies.
MMA is just boring, shitty "sport" now.
They are faceless clones to YOU because you no longer have the drive to follow the sport and it's fighters. No problem with that, but it looks like it's time for you to fuck off then. No need to pollute the board with unsensical bullshit when apparently you no longer enjoy the sport right? Why try to take others down to your level?
This isn't kickboxing where the same names get used and reused time and time again and the same faces just continually fight eachother.

So, you're telling me that a killer like Anderson Silva, a submission artist like Lauzon, and a Nick Diaz all fight the same??? I don't think that was the intent of the thread. It's not surprising that some people are not excited for UFC 155. What was surprising was your reasoning, that the card is filled with faceless, unexceptional clones. I'm just wondering why you waste your time thinking and posting about a sport you no longer care about or follow. You also said that even the old guys were "nobodies", so were you ever a fan at all?

Chris27 - Yeah but I've noticed it doesnt appear to be a huge event or huge hype around it.
maybe losing Maynard, Chris and Forrest/Davis, maybe some dont think Cain has earned the rematch but I def notice a lack of hype for this event. Both online and in my circle of friends who watch mma.
Honestly atleast where I am because I'm from Toms River and know alot of people who know Frankie, the hype for 156 is big out here for that card and that fight. This one not so much.
They should be backing this card better considering Cain/JDS kicked off fox with the highest ratings

These match ups should get any MMA fan's blood pumping. Combine them with Cain/JDS II, Belcher trying to avenge an old loss to Okami, Philippou stepping up in competition against Boetsch, Leben's return, and Max Holloway likely using Leonard Garcia for target practice, I'm actually really looking forward to this one.
