UFC 260: Miocic vs. Ngannou 2 will be held on Saturday March 27, 2021 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada. The official weigh-ins will be held on Friday, March 26, and will stream live on The UnderGround at noon ET (9:00 a.m. local time).
The main event is a rematch between heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic and challenger Francis Ngannou. Miocic won the first fight via Unanimous Decision at UFC 220 on January 20, 2018, breaking the record for the most consecutive UFC Heavyweight title defenses (3). Miocic lost the title to Daniel Cormier later that year, and then reclaimed it, and successfully defended it, in an epic trilogy.
Ngannou entered the first fight having won all six of his UFC fights, all inside the distance. His four fights leading into the first title shot won two performance bonuses, in an average of just 101 seconds. He appeared unstoppable. But he wasn't. Ngannou's next fight was a fan-unfriendly decision loss to Derrick Lewis, and the hopes that MMA had a new Next Big Thing were in severe doubt. However, "The Predator" then found his stride again.
In his last four fights, Nganou earned three performance bonuses, stopping his opponents in an average time of just 40 seconds. Ngannou has improved markedly. Has Miocic? Or does Miocic simply have Ngannou's number?
In the co-main former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, on a three-fight losing streak, fights rising contender Vicente Luque.
