In some ways he is. His striking is more dangerous and he is more active with submissions.
Khabib is better at getting a dominant position and clubbing guys until their will is broken, relies more on his granite chin.
Islam is a faster finisher. It’s like choosing a fast or slow death between Islam and Khabib for their opponents.
Ultimately it doesn’t make a difference because Islam will destroy his opponents just like Khabib did. They are both that much better. Islam might just get caught every now and then and take another couple L’s, but skill for skill he’s going to crush everyone.

All my responses reflect my honest opinion. Just because Khabib has Islam’s number in the gym and will always have more of an aura and undefeated legacy with the people, it does not bode any more well for their opponents. Islam is going to destroy everything in his path. He will have a better resume than Khabib in list of wins, win titles in multiple weight classes, ect.
Islam’s opponents are absolutely fucked.
And so are Umar Nurmagomedovs.
Umar is the one that is a great striker right,likes to throw good kicks etc?
and doesn’t Always look for the takedown.
And I really do think Islam beats Khabib, but it will never happen etc so just a fantasy match up .

All of the footage we have seen of their sparring and their head coach suggest otherwise though. I just go with what I see. Islam even admits it.
Umar is the best striker out of all of them.
