UFC 4 man heavyweight tournament - Stipe, Jones, Aspinall, Tuvasa

So what UFC should do since Ngannou is going to be out, they can do this either for number 1 contender to fight ngannou or the interim title or could even make an old school tournament bel to go with it, but there are clear 4 contenders at hw right now with francis out. I did not include Gane because he just had his shot at the title and he while he looked good, he lost and these guys deserve a shot more.

So either do Jon vs Stipe and Aspinall vs Tuvasa, or Tuvasa vs Stipe and Aspinall vs Jon, or even Jon vs Tuvasa and Stipe Vs Aspinall then have the winner of those fights fight for the interim belt later this year.

Thoughts?

You can maybe do Gane vs Blaydes for an alternate in case of injury.

Stipe and Tui don’t win it.

As if the UFC would ever do something like make top contenders fight it out to see who the best is. This is sports ENTERTAINMENT now

Stipe and Aspinall legit threats to Jon. Tai, not so much. Hed be the wild card but a fun addition and a deserving one after beating Lewis at his own game.

I thought you were talking about this.

The UFC should cure the plague of high-paying, low- quality and implications fights (usman-masvidal, the McGregor fights, Diaz fights, and so on) is by allowing champions once such fight a year, and enforcing a 4-top ranked tournament whose winner goes against the champion in each weight division at the end of the year. This way, great fighters like Whittaker and Covington won’t be stuck in place and the fans will get a much higher quality product from the UFC.

The fighters, especially primadonna champions will likely object, but they can pick another organization to ruin if so they choose.

A heavyweight tournament could save the division.
