This is correct and Serra didn't hit him with an "illegal" punch either.

It all comes down on how the ref determines if it was "intentional" or "unintentional." ^^^^^
the clash of heads could have been enough to slightly stun or jar hughes enough for a serra follow up. purely unintentional but it was still a clash with hughes in the recieving end.
Intentional would = disqualification.
Unintentional would be a no contest before the second round.After the second round would go to the scorecards (in a 3 round fight)

Machida's first combination - left kick to the body, straight left to the face in the first round was a thing of beauty and foreshadowing of the way the fight would go thereafter..
SATANAS - damn look at lyotos KO flurry compared to Krystoph's...krystoph with his no defense and his head straight up in the air walking right into his opponent pumping one-two hail mary punches..while lyotos is ducking and slipping punches while landing pinpoint accurate quick strikes and making rashad trip over himself with his footwork..doing all this and lyotos punches are sgtill way faster than krystophs, everyone looks sloppy compared to machida
I've seen better schoolyard brawls than Krystoph's fight. Absolutely no striking technique.. just standing straight up and throwing right, left, right, left.

How are people not seeing the clash of heads? Nobody said Serra did it on purpose or that it was even his fault. But still should be scored an accidental head butt which means the knockdown doesn't count and Hughes should have been given time to recover.
