the UFC is constantly trying new things (TUF series, TUF at military base,
Canada vs. USA, free fights, etc..)
Pride just throws the same guys, over and over, into the same old events..
i watch both, but UFC is clearly the cutting edge right now...
doesn't the ufc re-use the same old gladiator intro every event....thats not very original
and all the original things you mentioned should be labelled as "stupid"
ah yes , the constant rematches are very origninal. UFC has it going on!!
i think they should go beat on that dead horse known as TUF just to continue their creative streak
That" creativity" is just an attempt to make up for the watered down rules and weak HW division.

'Cutting edge' only goes so far.
Just look at the list of stars lined up for the Pride New Year's Eve show. That line-up is loaded with stars.
The UFC typically has one to two good fights a card (with the exception of 3 for UFC 65.)
It will be sad, if pride goes out of business, even these ufc trolls will be wishing it was around, when we see fedor's stiffest competition as sylvia, and mirko's stiffest competition herring in k-1.
People should be thankful we still have a product like pride, to be an alternative to ufc.
