In the past 7 months, two Brock fights have been announced and then moved roughly one month before the actually show.
May - Mir pulls out of the bout, Mir vs. Brock II moved two months to the much bigger UFC 100.
October - Brock pulls out of bout, Brock vs. Carwin moved two months to the much bigger New Year's show.
Hmmmm, Brock is by far the biggest draw in MMA right now and sells tickets. So, are Dana and co. using Brock's image and the old "Card Subject to Change" to boost the sales of cards that normally wouldn't do so well? Draw your own conclusions.
NY show will do great regardless of Brock or not, holiday PPVs always do well.
The show Brock was going to be on Also had Tito on it -it was probably going to be in the top 5 of MMA cards of all time.
My guess would be is that that Brock is unwell and has pulled out because he isnt 100% to defend his belt and this isnt some sort of elaborate conspiracy to try and move him from one card to the next.
Just a hunch though.
I think that, because of the money he makes, Brock does not feel compelled to fight really frequently. Therefore, he is able and willing to delay a bout if he feels like injury or other circumstances might affect his ability to perform to the best of his ability.
After seeing that video of Brock at the Viking game, I can totally see this happening. I know it sounds conspiracy theory, but totally a possibilty.
