OuTkAsTTTTT69 - What's the story here?During a Tough Enough Competition, Kurt Angle had called out any of the contestants to wrestle with him. Daniel Puder, who has had training, volunteered.
As you can see, Puder locked in a unexpected submission. Now, WWE really cant have one of there top guys look bad, so one of the refs did a 3 count to save Angle.

There's a whole article that talks about how Puder trained with Sakuraba and how the upstairs crew mic'd the ref to stop the match. Puder didn't want to do the full extension because he didn't want to lose his job.
Angle also said he was on medications at the time and badly injured and couldn't even feel his arms let alone defend the submission. Although this is Angle we're talking about so take that with a grain of salt.
Yes. Oh and this was after a huge amount of conditioning with hundreds of squats, pushups and running with Puder being the only one not dying. Too bad he couldn't box.
I don't think Puder was holding anything back on the kimura... probably tweaked/injured Angle's arm

I asked Dan straight up at the UFC in Sacramento if it was a legitimate match,and he said it was real & that the WWF didn`t say that he couldn`t use submissions to win the match.
*Since most of us know that it was staged I didn`t pursue it any further.
