how about a tournement like a grand prix with say 8 fighters The week of the fight they pick out of a hat to see who fights who so fighters have to train for all styles.And the tournement isnt a gimmick its epic and a great idea.I never said they need a gimmick they need to mix the format up a lil or a lot IMO

Gimmicks my ass. Op is 100% right. The strikeforce hw tourney is gonna be fun to watch and follow. The ufc needs to hold these types of tournaments. I miss the old pride gp's. I'm I ufc fan, but they're starting to taste like McDonalds. Same taste every mother fucking time regardless of what you order. 
I personally care about fights not everything in between.

The GP idea is cool, the only problem is, Strikeforce are gonna have all these brackets planned out but there is no chance in hell it's all going to happen smoothly (M1 contracts / Barnett roid fiend etc).
